So I  jumped on the Quora band wagon. I’m too much of a coward to ask or answer any questions yet, but I made a chart with my initial impressions.
Yeah. That about sums up my feelings for now.

ANother post about Quora, ey? At least you went the creative route…for that I thank you 🙂
I am nothing but creative. I haven’t used it enough to make up a real decision on it.
yeah! my first experience with Quora was rather cool, cause I saw lots of smart questions and even smarter answers. Now what I see is a couple of studends who wish to have their homework done by professionals.
Dude, that would be awesome. Crowd-sourced homework is something I wish I had in school.
ahhh how I love Venn Diagrams!
But Jay… I have to disagree. I didn’t see a whole lot of dumb questions. I was actually impressed by the quality of content… you know for the 5 minutes I looked at it. I would expect a dumb question here and there.
This is my impression from 5 minutes of use. I’m probably following the wrong people and topics because I’m obsessed with cats and Godzilla films.
If Quora can get the smart people of the world to calculate how large a cat would have to be to take out Godzilla, then it’s a website the world has been waiting, nay, needing, since its inception.
If someone develops that site, I will be the first person to sign up.
Ahhhhh I can’t “like” your comment. Dammit!!!
Most of the questions are fairly decent actually. In my opinion, it’s their UX that really blows - not to mention their notification system - which is why I kinda stepped off a bit.
Yeah, I hated the whole “e-mail for every single action” approach. I’ve turned off all the e-mails, but I’m not really logging in to check it either.
Hilarious and so true!
I only blog the truth.
And hyperbole.
LOVED this. Basically you hit the main point of my analysis ( http://bit.ly/dIvOZ7 ) but much more succinctly. Also the comments on my blog point to the time suck on this one. Thanks for the inventive post!
Your post has the best. title. ever.
Love this! Sums up how I feel about it right now as well. I’m still working up a more solid opinion, but I think it has a lot of potential. *At least* Quora tries to guide the types of questions you ask before you put them out there.
I’ve heard arguments for and against that. I think it would be weird to see my question merged with another, but I can see some value in it. Maybe it’s something that will change over time.
Best post EVER!!! I’m still laughing at this and I’ve seen it for days now. I didn’t even know what Quora is and I think this just explained to me everything I need to know about it.
Love your blog. I’m suprrised you haven’t done anything on all these social media focused browsers. PLEASE do a review of Rockmelt!!
Awesome post! Cracked me up. Thanks
