F*%k You Friday! Reading the Same Blogs

Blogs I Can't Read - the anti-social mediaI’ve been reading the same blogs for months and years now because I’m picky and can never find anything I like to read long term.

Also, there’s only so much of Mashable I can take before it jumps the fail whale.

What’s good out there these days? What am I missing in my tunnel vision? Does anyone else have original thoughts? Anything inspire you or give you ideas?

I want to read something that doesn’t suck and won’t make me want to tear my intestines out and jump rope with them. Give me something good to read people.

Think the reason I enjoy reading this blog is because out of the millions out there that BMW (bitch, moan and whine) this one at least is pointed to something I can relate to and is usually constructed contextually to my warped sense of humor.

But sometimes I like to take a break from reading and just grab an audiobook still mostly I read online. Given how much I read (see below) it doesn’t take much redundancy before I get turned off and go kick the neighbors dog out of frustration. So I tend to mix it up with different types of content from videos, images, comics, journal articles, rants, raves, etc.

Stumbleupon works ok as a background distractor for me, found when I include topics like math or physics and even funny animal pictures I tend to get some interesting results.

Or try google reader, from my 26 subscriptions, over the last 30 days I read 1,947 items, clicked 102 items, starred 3 items, since March 7, 2009 I have read a total of 13,929 articles

Lastly try Pearltrees it is a cool way of gathering information, sharing and organizing it. Should you be interested to see my pearls (god I love how wicked that sounds) look up robertwiii.

If that doesnt work then perhaps your blood sugar level is low and you are just cranky - have a 3 musketeers instead.

You might already be reading it, but I’m a big fan of Jim Connolly’s blog at http://www.jimsmarketingblog.com. His stuff is totally original (and he rarely, if ever, piggybacks a topic from another person’s blog post), it’s usually pretty short, and it’s always applicable to the business world. Not sure if it’s what you are looking for or if it’s not at all what you’re looking for, but it’s usually my #1 or #2 favorite blog at any given time.

Well… I am a fan of your blog. Mine is really not intended to be funny and I don’t have your talent for sarcasm but I’d sincerely appreciate your opinion on what’s been done so far. So, if you’re out of blogs to look at, visit me: http://espacozero.wordpress.com. :)

What, you mean there’s OTHER BLOGS?

I thought yours was the only one on the entire interwebs.

  6. Camilo Olea June 24, 2011 at 3:33 pm #

No, honestly, I think yours is the only blog I check. All else, I just scan the services I’ve set up to deliver “relevant information” to me. Because I’m lazy. And cool.

Do you know “Summify”? So far, it’s been sending me good info.
