There are a few blogs I go out of my way to read every single day. I only do this if a blog is either outrageously funny or amazingly informative.
Spin Sucks is one of informative ones.
Monday through Friday, Gini Dietrich and her team of Superfriends write about public relations, Social Media, SEO, and whatever else strikes her fancy, like dwarf tossing.
As someone who was thrust into the world of PR with nary a toe in the world of communication, Spin Sucks has been an invaluable resource for daily learning. Gini and team are constantly putting out a crap ton of useful information. And they’ll also toss in an angry dwarf in there. Learning that’s fun? Who knew!
So take some time this week to check out Spin Sucks. Tell Gini I said “Sup Dawg?”
What blogs do you read every day? Leave a comment and share the love before we get back to hating tomorrow.
Just checked my Google Reader stats and two blogs that are at a hundred percent read posts almost all the time are Michelle MacPhearson’s blog at http://www.michellemacphearson.com/ and Mark Krynsky’s Lifestream blog at http://lifestreamblog.com/
Both of those are new to me. I’ll be checking those out. Thanks for sharing!
I couldn’t agree more, having only recently discovered Gini, I have a secret infatuation with her!
Don’t worry. I won’t tell her about your secret infatuation.
What secret information?!?
I completely agree. Gini and Spin Sucks are informative and entertaining. Nice shout out.
I learn best through infotainment, and Gini always brings it.
Thanks Audrey!
What, there are *other* blogs besides this one? Crazy world.
Apparently. It is crazy though. These kids today.
The only blog I read every day is Anti-Social Media mostly because all the others are over my head.
The above wasn’t even meant to be snotty! Woops! But seriously, when smart people get to blogging I don’t actually understand most of what they say. But I understand rants with sarcasm peppered with truth.
Aww, I feel so special.
Are you the woman behind Momentum Handbags??
Um, I kind of don’t know how to take this. It’s not sarcastic. In fact, it’s way too nice. Are you OK?
Yes, and I think so!
I hit my head on the nice stick. Won’t make that mistake twice.
Are you back to normal today?! I’m really concerned! It’s because you’re going west of Asheville this week, isn’t it?
Oh, I’m back to normal. I got my usual 3 hours of sleep. And I wish I was going anywhere near Asheville this week. Instead I’ll be stuck in my apartment, working out how I’m going to make money from this blog thing.
Gini rocks, when she is late to post her daily post I call her up and explain to her I have withdrawal symptoms.
She is one of the first blogs I followed, commented and felt comfortable and welcome online.
The best part is that I got to meet her IRL last May. She taught me how to chase NY cabs (without much success I must say).
Now if you could get back to discussing why Gini should use the F word in her posts everything would be back to normal
I’m trying to get her to use the F word more, but it’s like she works in PR. She’s able to control her image so well.
I hope to meet her one day, but who knows. They don’t let me out of Raleigh much.
Great suggestion Jay. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon Gini’s super awesome words but I’m glad I did. I have found myself going back to her posts that I missed before jumping on her bandwagon. It’s that good.
Yeah, I wish I found her earlier. Thank goodness for blog archives!
Jay,
Wow, trying to catch up on my blog post reading - sad how far behind I’ve gotten. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the great blog suggestion. I’m leery of adding even more content I have a hard time staying up with, but for a good enough blog, I’ll sacrifice something else.
Thanks again.
Anytime. It’s what I’m here for.
