2011 Reading

When a new year starts, I don’t make resolutions or set goals. I scheme.

My schemes for 2010 worked out well, and I learned a lot from them. I learned how to write, market, and maintain a successful blog. I’ve learned how to be a semi-successful speaker. I’ve learned how to be a failed singer.  I even learned that I am in fact, a crazy cat person.

So one of my schemes for 2011 is to read better.  Reading puts ideas into my brain and makes me smarter. If it were up to me and my idle diversions, I’d read about Godzilla all day, but that’s not really going to get me any smarter, though I feel like I have a on destroying Japan now

I’m cleaning out the RSS feeds and cleaning off my bookshelf looking for better things to read this coming year, and I need you to help. I want to know what’s the best thing you’re reading right now. Is it a blog, book, newspaper, or Twitter account? Does it make you think? Is it funny? Does it just make you smile and you have to share it with everyone because it’s that amazing?

I believe the best thing that I’m reading is called the Anti-Social Media.

Flattery will get you nowhere around here. I do accept cash and credit cards though.

      Wilkommen!

That second book sounds really interesting. The authors haven’t used me as an example yet, have they?

You should absolutely read http://rachelwilkerson.com. She is hilarious and very bright, she makes awesome video posts and really is just spot-on with her observations.
