F*&% You Friday! The Yellow Pages

I’ve been working crazy hours. Hours that I’d normally spend being angry at Facebook for making stupid like a “send” button. Instead I’m getting paid to do work I love. Life is rough that way.

Still, I have room for getting pissed off. When I got home from work tonight, this is what I found on my doorstep.

Does anyone still have a use for the yellow pages? Can they go way forever so we stop killing trees? Or is the internet going to vanish in the twinkling of an eye and we’ll all curse one another for not keeping huge directories of telephone numbers?

Try propping open a door with your fancy internet. The yellow pages rock! ;)

There was a cockroach on my mat right outside my front door. In my lobby we had just received a delivery of yellow pages for the building. I dropped 3 of the big books on top of the roach and left them there. Later, a guy friend came over to help me get rid of it, and it was still alive after being buried under 3 of those books.

So to answer your question, no. There is no use for the yellow pages.

If the Yellow Pages can’t squish disgusting vermin, they are completely useless.

I’ve been in Asia for 12 years. WTF are the Yellow Pages? Oh, wait, we used to get those in China every year. In Chinese. Names with one stroke first, then two, then three, then my eyes go kablooey because I can’t read Chinese and don’t know how you’d “alphabetize” it anyway.

The Yellow Pages in Chinese sound terrifying.

I can send you mine if you need more leveling materials.

They’re also brilliant to throw at your enemies.

Save trees indeed, seriously annoying that they still distribute that crap! (yeah for vlogging)

It was the best way to show off that crap. :)

This had me laughing out loud at my desk. On a semi-related note, I think QR Codes deserve a “f*ck you Friday” of their own.

Yeah, I’ll get to those soon. Can’t always make fun of Facebook.

I have a business…. and I am lucky enough to get 2 dropped off if I am not there to tell them otherwise.
Straight to the recycling bin they go… is a waste

It really pisses me off that I signed up not get them and still I got them…at my current place and the one I’m moving to. And there was already a set at the new place. All told I have 3 sets. And the random ones haven’t started arriving yet.

They’re like pokemon and share buttons. You gotta catch them all!
